Snap - I'm so sorry to hear that work hasn't improved. I was hoping you were Happy Snap this week. Although - I really don't think I could handle "Cinderella and butterfly posting Snap" again.

Good hustle Lise! I can just imagine you taking off down the hall, running music starting up. Sounds like something out of a TV show! Hee hee!

I was out on the patio- glass of Shiraz, Terry catalog, Dillbird, grazing torts- when I heard the crows making a great commotion. Way out in the back there was a red fox! Under the plum tree, presumably eating plums. He cavorted about the yard, then hopped through the fence into the woods. I went in for a refill and to put the torts to bed, and when I came back out, he reappeared in a few minutes! A crow flew over, and did a double take, and landed near the fox, and sounded an alarm, but no one responded...

That's very cool, Nanci. Foxes are pretty inquisitive. I've had a fox trot by me in the woods, then come back and watch me for awhile. I've had a fox sit in a meadow and look at me until I got bored and moved on. We have both gray foxes and red foxes around here, and coyotes. Lots of tracks in the winter.

We have a lot of grays and coyotes and coydogs here, too. And skunks and possums and coons. Not a great place for outside turtles and torts...

Gah. I don't want to be angry bitter snap; when I'm away from work I'm quite pleasant. There's a clue there somewhere, right? I sent in a request to CALPERS (California Public Employees Retirement ....) to see what I'd receive if I decided to walk out....urm, retire next year. It may snap me back to reality - or tell me to DO IT!

Chloe the wonder corgi has developed dry skin, she gets quite itchy. I bought some shampoo at the vet's office that has benedryl in it, along with some conditioner. Today was a mini spa day for her; the bath seems to have helped the itching.

Oh boy - this weekend is the first Saturday of the month. That means DeAnza Flea Market time! There should be all kinds of cool Halloween stuff - buh-bye paycheck.

    CWR, cool picture!

Snap, good for you for exploring the options. Just no more Cinderella, OK? You scare your friends.

Nanci, wonderful story about the fox. Glad you've got the crows on patrol.

Snap, Mae the wonder mutt has dry skin too. A combo of Avoderm, a little olive oil on her food, brewers yeast seems to help the itchy dog.

My cats looove brewer's yeast. Not so much on their food, but if I put some in a bowl, they'll lick it clean.

Stinky Butt Dog used to eat Avoderm. That was some good food for the skin. Now he eats Inova Evo. More protein = calmer mutt. He also gets olive oil and the brewers yeast with garlic in it. "Pet Guard" is the brand.

Plus he gets egg and carrot and cheese and leftovers.

No, he's not spoiled at all.

How many cats do you have, Lise? I've still got my little stray......... no one's called about her yet. I've decided, as of Monday, if not claimed, she's mine, all mine!

It's almost 1:00 a.m. I am just finished with work. Yikes! I don't normally bartend on Thursday nights, just filling in tonight. Fun time and pretty good tips, but I have to be back here in less than 8 hours. My feet hurt so bad! That's why I'm sitting here, reading TD. I am in need of wind-down time, feet up time before I go home. Maybe I'll have to try one of those ice baths for my feet. No -- don't think I could quite handle that.

Fishdr -- best of luck in your imminent move!!!!!

I'm sure I must be missing something. I am not thinking too straight right now. Time to give up and drive home before all the drunks come out.

    Later, Ladies!
