Lise-they were bad, but I has so many other things go wrong, they seamed minor. Pregnancy #1-became ecclamptic, had a seizure, hemorrage, and a premature baby (he was huge at 5 pounds, blue and floppy). Pregnancy #2-on hospital bedrest the entire time. My twins had TTTS, I was pre-ecclamptic (became ecclamptic), gestational diabeties, and spent a large portion of my time on Magnesium Sulphate (for the record, I HATE that stuff). Again, premature babies. Very premature babies. Upside, all are healthy, active and happy boys now.For the record, I was told I would most likely not survive a third pregnancy and measures were taken during delivery #2.

I am off to attempt sleep. It is way past my bedtime and DS #1 has a dreadfully early cross country meet.
As for Ibex helmet liner, I think fuschia is in the lead.

I can't sleep, either. UGH!! Just finished off three (!) pieces of olive and mushroom pizza. Yumm! So I eat instead of sleep. Leaving me wondering how many extra miles I need to bike to wear off the night-time calories!!
Running 13 miles is beyond my imagination at this point. I am doing well to manage 3. And my muscles hurt like he** after trail running yesterday.
I'm now thinking I was lucky to "only" have migraines! And not all the associated problems like BMo3 is dealing with. <<HUGS>> to you.
Best job wishes to those hunting! Those out there in the dating field, also!
How often does one check TD to stay current? Daily? Hourly? By the minute?![]()

Wow B3! Sound like life is rough just now! I had my first (and hopefully last) migraine relatively recently - I thought it was hideous at the time, but it was nothing compared to what you've gone through for so long!![]()
Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.
annie - GREAT signature line!!
BMo3 - wow you have been through a lot in your young life.
Lise - good luck with the boys...

Have fun, MP! They're saying "Mostly sunny tomorrow, with a high of 76", which sounds very good for a very slooow 1/2 marathon (for Jamie and me. Others will be running quickly.I just noticed that you can't make "fast" an adverb.)
I love both of your sig lines, Annie and MP...when I came here last night and saw MP challenge us to ID the movie, my hand shot up--I KNOW! I KNOW! Of course, there were three pages of TD to read yet, and the brilliant and widely educated women around here couldn't possibly have missed that one. I have a cassette tape somewhere of the best bits of Monty Python. That scene is one of the first on the tape. I used to rewind it and listen to it over and over! "Old woman!" "I'm not a woman! I'm a maaan!" I miss having a cassette player in my car.
I'm off to the 1/2 marathon expo. I love a shopping opportunity. Except that it will be window shopping this time. Really.![]()

Jennifer! WHOA!
For those of you who don't work in obstetrics, the above tale is the equivalent, for me, of a scary horror movie. I am so glad that you and your boys got through it. To give perspective: I've worked in OB for 18 years, first as a nurse, now as a midwife. I've worked at two high-risk and one mid-level hospital. I've seen eclampsia (seizures with high blood pressure) *twice* in all those years. I've cared for many pre-eclamptics, but, knock wood, few have gone on to seize.
And everybody hates Mag Sulfate. My sister had what we thought was severe pre-eclampsia with both of her pregnancies. It turned out she had a tumor on her adrenal gland, diagnosed when baby Maya was 7 mo old. The symptoms mimicked pre-eclampsia. She got a lot of "mag" around the time of her deliveries. I hated seeing her get it, knowing how uncomfortable it is. I sat at her bedside at one point, holding an oral airway in my hand, just in case she seized.
Good for you, with all you've come through (and there's much I'm sure we don't know!). It strikes me that you have a positive attitude, and a focus on the future, not the past. (((hugs))) from me, too.

How went the run/walk MP? 20 miles sounds like a looooong way to me..... I just went out for my first run of the season, since daylight time for biking is disappearing. I made 3 miles and was happy with that.
Good luck tomorrow, Lise, in your 1/2 marathon! 13 miles sounds like a long way to me, too! Not a runner here.![]()
I'm off for a bike ride now! Nice day, sunny and warm. There won't be too many more like it.
