Just: cute ID! and your biggest lie reponse is very intriguing to say the least!

Hope the hear more from ya'll!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

No your Not! I'm a bikerHen while riding . . . but off the bike I'm a Lisa B. too. And I live in Washington. Although I am on the dry side, which makes me a poor second cousin to you wet siders. Anyway, from one Lisa B. to another welcome to the board. bikerHen, aka Lisa B.

    Real name: Allison

Where do you live? Between Baltimore, MD ad Washington, DC

Explanation of your handle: It is a nickname I've had for a very long time and relates to my affinity for records.

Explanation of your avatar: That would be my goofball sidekick & me.

    Age (general or specific): 28

    Occupation: Biomedical Enginerd turned Attorney

Favorite bike: My Specialized Allez Vita

What's in your stable? The Specializes, a Trek 6700, and hopefully something else soon...

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? Probably ~35 mph riding through old Ellicott City

Most memorable moment on my bike: Probably my first road ride. My knuckles were white and I thought I was going to have a heart attack!

Most fun ever had on a bike? It's rare that I don't have fun on my bike - especially if I'm out riding with friends.

Well, wouldja look at that? Seems there's quite a collection of Lisas here! My name is pronounced "Lisa", but has the Danish spelling.

Welcome vinyl/Allison, and all the other newbies!

    Real name: Carolyn

    Where do you live? Chicago

Explanation of your handle: It is a nickname from college.

Explanation of your avatar: That's Murphy, one of two fur-kids.

    Age (general or specific): 31

    Occupation: College Adminstrator

Favorite bike: my new TCR C3 (I bought it a month ago and already have 350 miles on it!)

What's in your stable? TCR C3 and Specialized Allez

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? I'm not very fast. I think I hit 21 on a downhill, but don't have many hills around here.

Most memorable moment on my bike: When I was younger, I would always fall going around a particular turn (not sure why), and have scars on both knees from the road rash I used to get.

Most fun ever had on a bike? I enjoy riding with Mr. Sheesh. We ride almost every weekend along the lake path and the view is beautiful! I especially love the sunrise.

Tell me about it, sister! The fastest I've ever gone was at the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon last month, when I was going down an overpass, with a tailwind, and my arms in the aerobars. 30 mph! Whoo-hoo!

Welcome, Carolyn! There's the makings of a TE/Chicago posse here!

Thanks, Lise! The only hill I ever tackle is on the south end of the Lake Path. I make it a point to hit it both ways, though, rather than going around because I know it's my only real chance to do it.

You have true mental toughness. I ride that "hill" when I'm training in my own mind, but not when I'm just "out for a ride"!

Well L.A. you've made a lousy first impression. Lashing out at the women on the TE boards because of something that happened somewhere else is completely uncalled for.

Yet you continue to antagonize the women on the board. Please take yourself elsewhere.

If you wanted to "understand" women cyclists better, perhaps it would have been more prudent to ask questions in a polite manner, rather than make macho, adolescent comments.
Just from the few postings you made, you seem more interested in posturing and inflating your own ego, as opposed to listening, learning and understanding.

I said ovoleg, not ovaleg...though interestingly enough...we did have an ovaleg show up at Bike Forums recently. Funny how you seemed to know that.
