It was a toss this year for me between George & Floyd, but in the end I went for Floyd.

Clif Bar has held a contest where fans voted for their choice of U.S. Postal's Most Valuable Domestique. Voting has just ended and the winner will be announced in August. The winner gets $10,000. Jose Luis Rubiera won in 2003, and Roberto Heras won in 2002. Did anybody vote?
I voted for George. I'm not sure how I decided he was more valuable than any of the others. You could certainly make a case for Jose Azevedo or Floyd Landis. But George is just George... And fun to look at!![]()

Me too! I wish we could have voted for the entire team...

here's a link . I'm not sure why she posted it there. I don't think George has won before. According to info at the Clif Bar's site, this is the third year for the award. Luis Rubiera won in 2003, and Roberto Heras won in 2002. Read about it here.
... paging a certain admirer of a certain faithful deputy ... aw the heck with it, AG, WHERE'S THE DARN FOTO?
From the scuttlebut on various message boards it sounds like Floyd is most likely leaving Postal/DiscoveryPhonak is often mentioned, but it sounds like CSC is (or was) a possibility also.
I would be giddy as a little schoolgirl if Floyd went to CSC - I really like that team. Alas, sounds like CSC is having $$ problems and difficulty lining up a co-sponsor so he might be heading for Phonak (sayeth the scuttlebut).
I'm looking through my vast collection to find just the right one!! Stay tuned!Originally posted by jobob

A local mag The Ride: east coast bike culture, issue 119, web http://www.ridezine.com has a feature article on the NY Latino bike culture... and it has some early photos of your man Georgie as well as lots of quotes from his brother Rich.
Not sure if the web has the whole article as I bought the magazine.
Enjoy!
