I've not done much research into this but what's the attitude towards these people in thier adopted cities? Has thier life or lives improved & are the locals still happy to have them there? Are they still in the same situation they were before???

I have been hearing serious unhappy rumblings from Houston (the city that absorbed the biggest piece of NO refugees). Their murder, suicide and crime rate is way up.
It is very sad, but this kind of refugee has even more trouble starting over than normal ones; because their lives were messed up before.

I know that here in Seattle, we have a few, and from time to time they are featured in articles, mostly sunny I guess.
A recent article in the New york times suggests that the kids are still having trouble because their parents are too.
