    Wow, Susie!
    I marvel at your restraint!
I would have told him to do something that is biologically impossible for him!!!
But your comment to him was right on!

If anything you were too nice. I agree with everyone, train, get better and then drop his punk *** on the climb. And do it with a smile.

I was on a group ride many years ago & we were climbing a pretty big hill. The guy next to me put his hand on my lower back (to help me up) - except I was having NO problem with the hill.

I snarled at him, "GET YOUR HAND OFF OF ME!"

    Condescending jerks.

I agree wholeheartedly with the general consensus so far. I think your response was just right. The restrained but witty comeback is even more cutting than an emotional response--gets your point across without letting the jerk know how much he pissed you off.

I hate it when guys just assume you want/need their help, without knowing you or even asking. And that "babe" crap, when he doesn't even know you--jeez, I've got steam coming out of my ears and I wasn't even there! You did great!

Slime was just trying to cop a feel. Why do they not understand the whole "time and place for everything" concept?

That is so great! I really hope I'm not offending anyone here, but the men who ride those Trek Discovery Channel bikes are such tools! I know one or two guys that ride them and they sound exactly like the guy you described...condescending wannabes.

You said the best thing possible, I think it's hysterical...good for you!
It's only worth it if you're having fun
