Hey, me too! (Into socks, not darning.) When my family asks me what I want for Christmas, I say "socks", and they think I'm kidding. I guess it's not as much fun for them.

Yeah, you notice the age of those of us talking about darning? We're just a fine vintage.

Yep, we're aged like fine wine...or old socks. Not like those darn kids these days who don't know what a darning egg is.

um... I'm not sure what this says about me, but I have one, too. Mom made sure we knew how to repair our stuff because we were "artsy and craftsy enough to do it, and broke enough to have to". Thanks mum. I hardly ever use it, though... it's just too easy to buy new socks!

I like socks, but don't have near as many as y'all do. I did get a pair of Smartwool socks from my SS and I love those! For daily wear I've been wearing some socks by Danskin - they are wicking and have an arch support band. Cheap and comfy!

    TD...

I just came back from a 4yr old's birthday party (from FishJr's class). They were all playing great and running around like maniacs as 4 yr olds are so good at doing. Then I see two girls dragging my daughter across the room (they were in a gym). They toss her onto a mat and then proceed to stomp on her arm and put all their weight on her chest. If they were any bigger than her, I'm pretty sure they would have broken her arm. Good thing she drinks lots of milk! Her arm is red and sore - mainly at the elbow. Poor thing. She yelled and tried to get them off of her. I intervened (loudly). One of the girls got in trouble. Yikes! That was interesting. My heart is still racing. FishJr is taking it easy watching Tom & Jerry. I need to go ride to get the adrenaline out of my system.
