Cass C- Well, I have an idea of how much time we can spend overall at rest stops. So, when it happens... well... I'm flexible. But I have scheduled an hour of rest stops for the 100 miles. "Best made plans...."

Nanci- By Electrolytes... do you mean what comes in Gatoraid? Or what I can take in via Clif Shot Blocks?

I will remember to put ice in my shirt when I can! You are so right...cooling the core is important.

If you have any other suggestions, please pass them on.. you are such a pro at distances!

And, we will be keeping around a 14 mph pace. I know at that pace I feel like I could ride all day without trying.

Denda- Good luck with your ride! I am sure you two will do great! It's my/our first year.

DH and I have gone back and forth on whether to go on this ride. I want to go, and he had worked out to give his overtime away, and then we thought, nah, we'll wait and then I see you girls posting about going and now I want to go again. LOL

As I said, we did this last year. We got lucky though. It was cloudy and cool all day! It doesn't look like that will be the case this year. And my husband doesn't handle extreme heat real well. I hope we finish!
