Well, cr*p. That loud noise I heard just as I went downstairs to check my mail? It was my CD tower falling over. Bad news, friends. And furthermore, my Amici Veloche jersey hasn't arrived yet! I've got a case of the post-race blues. Going to shove my CDs into some sort of pile and try to nap before the call shift tonight. L.

I'm making some tonight, too! You're making me hungry. We have no food in the house! The joy of coming home from a trip. We're having take-out gourmet pizza and then I'm going to make those cookies. Thanks for the idea V!

Hey Nanci did you see Emily O'Brien's BMB report just came out on the rando list?? I can't wait to read that - she's a very entertaining rider and the thought of her doing all these crazy rides on a fixed gear is amazing to me.

Hey, now, MP. Don't you be getting all snooty on the us here like Zman. You'd think he could have used the whole name instead of BMB when he started his thread on bikejournal. Makes me feel like an iggerant outsider. What is it?

Ah, now I don't feel like such an ignoramus and might actually want to read the ride stories.

    Thanks.

If it was a loud noise and it wasn't an exploding tire, you should be happy. Not only that, but the CD tower didn't fall over WHILE you were napping. There's a bright side to everything. Cheer up, Lise.

That's a great idea. But as soon as I put them in the mail it would probably rain and I'd have to drive to work anyway and would have wasted the postage. It's tough being a cheap hungry gram weenie.

Berkeley is certainly shaking this week. The earth must be trembling in terror due to the return of the college students (dorms have opened...)

    Shopping, shopping

Too many pages to catch up with today. I'm still in my cycling vacation in Victoria. Having a wonderful time, wish you were here... Bought two jerseys - yay! - I had none so I am happy. One is LG and one is Shebeest. Both cute. I tried on some pedal pusher capris too but they are too long for me. 48cm inseam. I have pretty short legs and they go down to mid-calf. Is that normal? They felt much better when I rolled them up one notch just below the knee and they felt much better. Will have to look around and see if there are more styles out there. I know nothing about anything longer than shorts...

Hope everyone is healthy and the family members are doing well...

    sponge worthy?

So I was on Walgreen's website today and noticed they have a "sexual wellness" tab now. Grant it they may have had this tab for a while, but I just noticed it. For some reason it's highlighted with a yellow border. I checked out what they have in there and noticed that the Today Sponge is being sold. Maybe because I've been on BCP's since I was 18 I'm not up to speed on this, but I thought they took that off the market? Hence the whole Seinfeld episode with Elaine interviewing boyfriends to see if they were "sponge worthy" as she hoarded them. When'd they come back? Oh happy day, the sponge is here to stay
