Heh!! I did the exact same thing a couple years ago! Saw the bottle and bought it, not caring a bit about drinking the wine inside. I bought two different kinds, in fact. Still have the bottles, but poured the wine out (at that time, I didn't care about trying wines). They're sitting on display on top of my tower wine rack.

    So if you're a nerd, I'm a bigger dork.

*waving hand* Another bike nerd, here. I did the same thing not too long ago--bought the bottle of Red Bicyclette because of its cute label. Oh yeah, the wine wasn't too bad either--a little on the sweetish side maybe, but not bad. But that's not why I bought it, is it?

Now I have to go looking for that one Snapdragen showed us. *sigh* It's such a hard life--hunting down bicycle-labeled wines.

Please review the wine! I see it all the time. Ooh, it's from France. Wine Enthusiast rates the 2003 an 85. A light, fresh Chardonnay with minimal barrel influence (yay!!), the debut vintage boasts ample pear and citrus flavors, a stony minerality and hints of roasted nuts. At its commonly offered retail price of $10, this would be a Best Buy.

I've seen the Red Bicyclette wine as well...but only in the Merlot and I'm not a merlot fan. I'll have to look for the Chardonnay.

If you haven't seen it...check out their website...it's adorable!

If nothing else, the bottle is cute. Now I need to go look for this wine.

I've noticed a lot of weird-wine-titles lately, like "three stuffed llamas" and things like that.

I've had Red Bicyclette three o fourimes - but I'm no reviewer. It's just wine to me :=)

A friend gave me a bottle a couple of years ago and now, when I see it, I usualy buy it. It does come in a Chardonnay and the price is right.

Ok in my world that's just plain sacrilegious!!!!!!!!! I LOVE wine and the redder and dryer the better. Trying to get healthy and fit in the biking world I don't drink near as much as I used to (1 bottle every 2-3 weeks now versus 4-5 bottles a week then) but now I have a reason to buy wine again!!!!

Thank you all for heads up! Now if I can just make my hubby a believer!

To all the wine lovers on the forum, I apologize profusely for the waste of perfectly good vino. I suppose to my credit, I DID try it before I poured it down the drain.....and didn't like it. No one else in the house drinks wine, so down the drain it went.

Hey, did you guys see this? La Biciclette Du Vin

Not MY bike as I don't drink wine (or much of anything alcoholic period) this was the scene coming from a winery getting ready to head back to campground on a recent ride.

Which Cycles Gladiator specifically? It is porduced by Hahn Estates. Just glancing through my reviews, I see Bordeaux Blend 88, Cab Sauvignon 83, Chardonnay 86, Merlot 88, Syrah 88, Meritage 86, Cab Blend 85.
