    Nanci -

Hmm... what if I PM you about wine....? Just stokin' the fire....

I also like hearing about the animals. I didn't know what "censored" referred to, though. I guess someone didn't like the gory details? I used to feed Percy my python live mice. It was kind of a bummer, but I would go in the other room some times. Sorry Maisey isn't eating. Anyway, I have to say Nanci that know more about wild and amazing animals than anyone I know - and if DD were old enough to be on TE, she'd be your best friend because she is OBSESSED with animals. She's dying for ANY type of animal. (Let it be known that she is NOT derpived, already having had rats, mice, fish, dog, cats). We pick up the gecko tomorrow.... But if she knew someone with torts, snakes, pigeons, etc., she'd never shut up talking to you about them. Those who have met her know that shutting up is often difficult for her to do....

You can PM me about wine any time you want to. Unless you're telling me not to write about that, either. And don't think I don't worry about the person(s) who are not able to drink alcohol for personal reasons. I do.

I rode the Zero X for 30 miles today. It was ok...I want to see what I think on a longer ride. I adjusted the tilt up and down a bunch of times. It sits so low on the rails it is hard to adjust. I wonder what the difference is between pressure on the bones versus actual pain. Because I _feel_ the saddle on my bones, but it doesn't hurt, but it is very noticable. Then I have some sort of, I don't know, maybe one of those weird blood vessel things right in the underwear-leg crease, that gets irritated easily, (it's been there forever- sometimes causes more pain, sometimes it's not noticeable) that was bothering me today, so if that was totally gone, would I like the saddle more?? It's much better with bike shorts than pajamas...

    I had a great ride/float/swim/picnic today.

Nanci--I sure as *censored* hope you're not worrying about me. When something doesn't interest me (like, oh, say, wine), I generally ignore the post. I like to tease you when you say you poured it out (the waste! the waste!), but after 22 years' sobriety, posts about how oaky or fruit-loopy wine tastes will not tempt me! (um, if you weren't worried about me, then, uh, never mind! )

PS, even though I haven't read the 6 pages of TD y'all generated while I was off triathlating, I do believe that *censored* is a live mouse sticking out of a snake's mouth! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Or, riding around on a snake's back, which is considerably less scary. (of course the use of *censored* in the 1st paragraph of this post does not refer to a mouse.)

MP: I think the echo was fine. The sonographer seemed to think so. I don't have the official report. My heart did fine on the tri today. I checked my pulse at the pancake joint afterwards--not one skipped beat. Is that not wierd? I can be lying in bed and skip beats, but do an Oly tri, and nothing? Good news, though...now I'm going to resume catching up on TD, shower, and write y'all a race report!

I did it! Now I'm tired.

Danskin report is in the race reports thread. Now I've gotta go to the website and see if I can find my results. Also wanna find my pictures. (pics will show up later, I'm sure)

    Congrats, Lise and Colby!

    Ooh! Ooh! Where's this site?!

Lise- I've been reading your posts about the EKG etc pretty carefully given my own experiences with it. I have to say I have the *same* thing. Not a missed beat/hiccup/pause at all when I'm active or even redlining it, but laying in bed, or trying to sleep, or sitting at work, it happens enough to worry me. Hm. I've been doing the 'stupid kid' thing and letting it go after having seen the doc once on it and being told 'eh, it's nothing' but I'll go have more extensive testing when I have better insurance. I promise.

CWR- Can I be on Team Danger if I can get myself declared a "danger to myself and others"? Sure it's not bears or even 'vicious' weiner dogs, but... I can get pretty noisy when ruffled.

kit your mind is a danger but that's a different story!

winddance i don't seem to get runner's high everytime, but when i do, its good! what keeps me running is DPITA's words "the more you run the skinnier your legs will get" i always think of those words before i go running.

queen sorry your moving out of tucson. parent's moved me from wi down to phoenix and then 5 years to the day they moved back to wisconsin. they weren't happy with life in phx. i stuck around for 2 more years and moved up here. like it much more up here.

my new saddle: i got the terry damselfly in the mail on saturday and it just barely stopped raining enough for me to try it out yesterday. after some moving of it, and retightening it once i almost fell off because i didn't screw it down all the way. it was great. my sitbones are still sore from the other saddle (i think). i'm going to keep it and see what happens after my sitbones 'heal'.
