well i did my first 'brick'. wasn't as bad as i thought i was going to be. then again i didn't go that far. didn't want to kill my owie leg.

i ran for 2 miles with the dogs.

mtb for 10 miles without dogs (they took a nap).

then ran for another 2 miles with dogs.

i think it was harder on the dogs than me! they are currenly still downstairs sleeping while i clean up the house. i wish i was a dog.

all i know is i feel good about life right now. to bad i still have to finish cleaning and figure out something for dinner. i think its going to be an easy salmon dish with rice. maybe i can get BF to grill the salmon, even better for me.

Kitsune, you must love Moscato d'Asti, then, and possibly lambics?

    Still raining.

Nanci - love egyptian cotton! That's what I bought, and actually the towels look pretty good. It's the rugs that are ugh, ugh, ughly. I'll keep looking - I think Penny's carries the same brand, maybe they have better rugs.

I had a 2001 Rioja - that dear daddy opened up on a whim one night It was really good though.

**brag alert** I've managed to stay on Points (Weight Watcher talk) all week long! AND...I have 20 flex points left 'til Tuesday's weigh in. Happydance Happydance Happydance Happydance Happydance Maybe I've finally broken through and will stop losing and gaining the same 2 pounds!

Yay Snap! I've been trying to stay on my diet all week but fell off big time last night. I don't do WW (sparkpeople instead) but it's all the same in the end. Anyway, I have been gaining and losing 2 lbs all summer too! What a pain...

Knotted- I know. it drives me crazy. Especially since something always *has* to happen/come up/go wrong those two days.
Nanci- I do like lambecs, but sometimes they're not sweet enough for me. No experience with the other...
CWR- I'm not sure that DPITA would be okay with you pimping me, but if that's what you think is best...
Got apps in to Pacific U.'s Arts Dept. I'm excited. That would be an awesome job...

    long post-

De do de do..*wanders in* Oh hello there...This is the "how long can a post be post"?

I've been attempting to keep track of what's going on.... SO much happens while i'm at work or asleep...the joys of time zones hey!

Anywho, I have a story....Please don't take this the wrong way ladies k...

I was at my favorite cafe this morning ordering my regular coffee & there was this large dude looking at the menu...He was SO loud & rather rude I thought to the 2 cool chicks( claire & steph) & dude (brayden) that run the place..I just had to ask him whee he was from as I thought he may have been American...He said "YEAH, I"m FRUM TALAHASSEE FLORIDA"...errrr ok..end of conversation...He complained that the cafe didn't have pancakes (noone does here really) and WHO eats BAKED BEANS for breakfast...What a complete freak...I had to tell claire "i'm really sorry you have to put up with americans like that...however you have a regular like me from a friendlier place up north". Rant over & I have no idea how i find all the LOUD americans who don't seem to get it...

    Right...
I went for a ride tonight in the hopes of finding headwind...Well i got a bit more than I bargained for..Headwind, tailwind, sidewind & salt on my glasses..I rode down to the fremantle area via the train line that runs beside the beach...I have no idea how to judge how well the ride went. All i can say is Woeeeeee..sidewinds!!!! Freaky at 30km/hr downhill with cars next to me! It woke me up!!!

Ian and I are putting an offer on a house tomorrow night..We've been looking and man are there some nice places just WAY WAY too big...One place we looked at on the weekend was ok inside for space but we could have built a mtn bike skills course in the backyard...!!!!! No thanks, too big & too much maintenance..We'd rather bike on the weekends....
If you want to see the place we like: http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin...&ag=&cu=fn-rea
Not sure if that will work???

Back later kids. Kitsune-be careful when you work late...Do you work far from home & do you bike to work???

Fish"-does fishjr wear a uniform to school? Kids in the US & Canada should be happy...Kids here HAVE to wear uniforms...I remember our jr high & high school having the "uniform" debates..

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FISHJR!

CC--it was fun to see your picture up on Open! I've got the Bloks, am picking up the Lara bars today, and will have them in the mail tomorrow! The house looks very nice. Isn't the internet amazing? Not only do I have a friend in Oz, but I can look at the house you're looking at. Cracked me up that you went looking for headwind. Here on the prairie, it comes looking for us!

I am already waking up early thinking about what to pack for the tri! It's also that I worked Sat night and didn't get much sleep. When I get "off" with the sleep at all, it's hard to sleep through the night for awhile after that. Given that I work at least two night shifts a week...well, you see how that goes! But this morning I kept waking up thinking about my plans for the day, plans for the tri. Finally got up at 6:30. I've got the day off. I'm going to head out for a ride, in hopes of missing the rain. On the Bianchi, with its narrow tires, I'm skittish about riding on wet pavement.

Nanci--I'm off to look at your snakey!

Crazy, they call Jacksonville, FL- just east from Tally- Freakville...

I was gonna say, last weekend, did you know that if you wear light blue/light gray bike shorts, with no panties, you can see _everything_??? Nice...I spent hours staring at some girl's butt a week ago Saturday. TMI!!!! It showed through pink!!

Eeeewwww! I look at girls' butts for a living. I shouldn't have to look at them out in public. It's especially embarrassing when you know the other person isn't aware of it. What are you going to say? "Hey, your bike shorts are totally transparent?"

CC- I take no offense when someone says they met a rude, loud American. I meet them every day! You just don't see the thoughtful, quiet ones, because we blend in and don't demand pancakes.

    Nanci-i'll tell claire & somehow i think she'll understand...

The internet is a wierd place...I have to share this website with you guys just because of how...interesting it is..
http://www.ahmadinejad.ir/ -it's Mr Ahmadinjad's(the leader of iran) weblog..i guess when he's not insulting the rest of the world he has time to post his thoughts...I think it's interesting reading about the Shah & The Ayatollah Khomeni....It's now on my news favorites...
    Too funny...

Another interesting Crazcanuck & Iggy (ian) thing-we're biking to the real estate agent's office tomorrow night...people think we're a bit nuts...

    Good night kids

probably belongs in "Dear So & So" ;-)

    crazycanuck,

I'm sorry you had to put up with "my fellow American".

Please tell the two cool chicks and dude for us that not all Floridians are like that, Nanci for example.

Note to loud dude, let me connect the small dots for you. It's called travel. That's why we go. The goal is to see different things, experience stuff stuff, meet cool people and BROADEN our tiny little mind.

Dude, you've spent too much time in Disneyland where it's "International area" and "It's a Small World After All". The world is not like that (French like facade, see show, get a happy meal).

If you want to eat the same stuff each day...stay home...puhleeeze.
