I wonder if bike shorts work like panties when you're pregnant- you can just continue to wear your old ones, under your belly!!
They make maternity shorts, though, don't they? I swear I've seen them. I mean, generic they, not Assos.

Yes, terry has maternity ones but not Assos. This makes me unhappy because their padding is great.
I just bought a pair of Hincapie Power shorts (unfortunately, not carried by TE). http://www.hincapiesports.com/detail...ode=RSH-LPWL02
The shorts have contrasting colored stitching but Bubba said it is actually in a flattering design, much better than the current Castelli YPRO3 shorts or the PI Microsensors. Wow!
Waist is cut the same height as the above two shorts. The Hincapie Performance short has a really high waist and no flat locked seams which gives them two thumbs down from me automatically.
I'll give them a test drive later this week.

I actually prefer shorts with stripes or multiple colors....they are hard to find unless getting a team kit and barely exist in women's models. I think they are generally much more flattering than solid black shorts and being colorful, make one that much more visible on the road....
Another note on the Hincapie Power shorts: if you liked the old Castelli YPRO pad from a couple years ago, this pad is exactly the same size and shape except the v-cut at the back isn't quite as deep. The chamois is just a tad thicker but doesn't seem stiff. The short fabric appears to be the same as the Castelli YPRO short. I'm expecting great things. Wonder if they come in red . . . .
