The reason I'm asking is that I seem to have misplaced (not lost because they will show up) a pair of Castelli shorts. The current version has the contrasting stitching. I just don't see that posterior in those shorts, but I love Castelli for the road. Sigh . . .

I actually just bought those PI shorts not too long ago. I have large thighs and I think they are slimming from the front, but I think they make my butt look slightly bigger than my all black shorts . That's ok though because I love the chamois and that's more important to me.

I love the contrasting stiches. As long as they don't go down the front (camel toe) or straight down between the butt cheeks like a g string they're OK with me.

Yep, down the front. But isn't it weird that they put women's shorts on a male manikin? What was their marketing department drinking that day?

Whoever's butt that is, as I said, slimming. I WISH my butt was that little!! Can't you see, everything outside the lines doesn't count??

My worst ever butt shorts (that I sent back) were the Shebeast expensive ones. Because of the way they were pieced together in the back. Talk about square butt...

No kidding. Function first. Besides, so long as when you're wearing them, you're putting miles on your bike, they look great. You're active, taking care of yourself, havin' fun ... of course they and especially *you* look good.

I think that stitches are great. I have a pair of Assos short which I absolutely love. They have excellent padding that lasts for a century ride. They are short, which I also prefer. But the best part about them, they are red, but the butt part is black. And it is definitely slimming!

    Found Them!

Here are the castelli shorts I was talking about! Look at the waistband - aren't these the sexiest shorts you've evern seen (at least on this model?).

I can't believe how excited these shorts have gotten me, lol. But I can't justify forking over $150 for shorts right now either, so I dream...

L - love the red/black assos shorts too. Can't wait to see how the baby belly looks in them - I bet you'll look adorabel!

Oh, what a dork - TE sold these on ebay! Susan, do you have any more hiding in the closet???

Whoo boy! No kidding. I think maybe one shouldn't gain 75 pounds when pregnant. Not that I am speaking from experience or anything. And she's what, 10? And I still have about 10 of those pounds on me....
