I have a health question for triathletes....I have been competing in triathlons and marathons for the past six years and am experience some odd pain in what feels like my overies but may be my intestines. I've only felt it a couple times in the past years normally after I race really hard, but it tends to go away after a day or two. This year however, I have felt it in both races. I did the Boston marathon three weeks ago, had my period before the marathon and then had lower abdomen pain or overian cramping for four days after the marathon. I thought nothing of it until yesterday. I did a sprint triathlon, raced hard, but nothing out of the ordinary for me and have experienced serious cramping in for two days now. What is causing this? I have an extremely healthly diet and have exercised and raced like this for years. What could be causing this?
