Z, you might want to check REI or Title Nine Sports (there's a Title Nine in Berkeley) - they both carry the Moving Comfort brand of sports bras which are very nice ( well, to be honest I can only vouch for my end of the spectrum on that ... ) and I'm pretty sure REI at least also carries Panagonia, which V. speaks very highly of.
