Arm pump surgery (some sort of perforation of the fascia
because their forearm muscles are too developed to fit inside the connective tissue) is standard for motorcycle racers.
There's some kind of shoulder or elbow surgery that's pretty much standard for baseball pitchers now.
Other sports probably have their own specific surgeries. Never mind all the cosmetic surgeries that people have every day.
Really, the only reason that this was an April fool is that it would take a whole lot more than shortening the collarbones to present a smaller profile to the wind...
