I had an Aunt Dodo. Her name was Josephine, but a cousin tried to say "JoJo", but it came out "DoDo" and it stuck.
Same thing with an Aunt DeeDee. Her name was Angela, "Angie" became "DeeDee".
Then...my dad had cousins Foots and Scars (he was Oscanio - Italian version of Oscar, I think.) No idea where Foots came from!.
