Yea, when I stop running on my long runs... it's like the pain just settles into my body and it hurts. Once I hit my time/distance... I start to walk casually... and I can barely walk anymore. It's like my body goes into shut down mode once it's allowed to stop moving forward.

This is why I know at my IM, I CANNOT stop moving forward. If I stop and rest... I might not get moving again.
