I squeezed in a quick 7.5 mi last night before dusk, and another 8 mi today at noon. For both rides, I headed to one of my favorite paved stretches around here---a beautiful, curvy, lightly hilly road that wanders past a big cattle farm. Parts of it are so picturesque, it's almost unreal. Lots of cows dotting the rolling pastures; a fishing lake; red barn with silo; a handful of houses. Glorious any time of day, and in most any kind of weather. I love zipping by the calves, who sometimes race along the fenceline to see what this two-legged critter is up to.
Determined to get in at least 30 more mi in next week so I can close out my first year on my bike with a solid 700 miles under my belt.
