What the??? My tire blew out!

Thanks Deb! I thought I had it right in my head but I wanted to make sure.

Boy in Kilt- I guess I a really skilled cyclist as I always pull up over RR tracks, manuever around road hazards and buy what I thought were good tires. Hehe- I have been confirmed as skilled. But even with all that said this weekend I was out of whack and hit THREE potholes (this is post-tire blowout). I have been resting from being sick for nearly two weeks and my bike handling skills must have taken a break too.

Darcy- My husband and I have agreed to carry a spare foldable tire on our long rides from now on. It was hard to decide to take on extra bulk in the Texas heat (April- October!). As my avatar illustrates, my tiny framed bike will only accomodate a small saddle bag. Now if I could convince my racing stud of a DH to get a saddle bag for riding with me that would be helpful, but he just won't join me in any type of Fred-dom. I always carry two tubes for a ride over 50 miles since I don't trust a patch for very long. I don't want to call the Daddy-run sag wagon again.
