Mary, I got this email also. I forwarded it to spoof@paypal.com and received an email back that yes, it was phishing, as so many of these emails are. Of course, this was about the 10th or 15th email I have gotten like this, supposedly from Paypal, all slightly different, so I didn't buy it for half a second.
The key is, never click on a link in an email to go to a site where you must log in; instead, type the normal URL in (i.e. www.paypal.com) in your browser and log in that way.
Obviously at least a few folks fall for these phishers or they wouldn't keep doing it!
