When I really *was* a bartender in my other life (back in 1980, apparently before you were born..) - B52's were the big thing. I made dozens of trays of them every night... Then we invented a B52 "float" (pour the b52 ingredients over the rocks and add coke. Weird but tasty...

OK, so the drink of this weekend was the B-52.
Grand Marnier, Irish Cream and Kaluah. All must be chilled; GM and K in the freezer, IC in the fridge b/c putting it in the freezer does weird things to it.

In a liqueur glass (or really big shot glass) layer as such, pouring each over the back of a chilled spoon, rinsing the spoon off between ingredients:

1 1/2 oz Kaluah
1 1/2 oz Irish Cream
1 1/2 oz Grand Marnier

Pour veeerrrry slowly over the back of the spoon to layer. It takes some practice.

If you don't feel like all that work, then throw the above into a shaker with ice and shake the h*ll out of it, then serve.

Taste is that of an orange creamsicle dipped in chocolate, or one of those chocolate oranges you have to hit on something to break apart. Too good. =D
