First off... WOW on your time/average speed! Really fast there! Be proud of having such a great ride!
Yea, they had BBQ and Hot Dogs and mile 70 (we had 4 miles to go)... but I'm vegetarian. And... at mile 70... it was time to just get it done. And, I needed food at miles 40-50. Oh well.
KSH- I ALWAYS take some Cytomax and Luna Bars with me in case I can't get anything else. Sounds like the organizers didn't plan for enough food. They should know- 24 times doing this ride. Give me a break!!!!!!!!
Well, I did make a mistake when I packed my jersey before the ride. I was about to stuff it full of food, and then I reminded myself that on the MS150 I carried all this stuff with me (it was heavy!), and I didn't use ANY of it.
So, I talked myself out of carrying food, thinking I could depend on the rest stops... since this is such a HUGE organized ride.
Lesson learned.
