Omg!! I Am So Excited!!!!!!!!!!

Holy moly... I had mentioned this in passing... but didn't really believe it would happen...

I GET TO RIDE IN ONE OF THE TEAM CARS FOR STAGE 6!!!!

I have a friend who works for Mavic... he is the lead mechanic for them. I mentioned to him that I was gonna go sit on Balcom Canyon with my brother for stage 6 and he said, why don't you ride with us?

I thought he was kidding... then it seemed he was serious...

he had to verify that there would be room since the sponsors get first dibs on any extra space in the car... but called me yesterday to tell me I have a seat if I still want it! WOOT!!!!

He warned me that there is no stopping to use the potty... okey doke... no drinking til the expo! I can handle that... heck for this opportunity I'd wear a Depends if I had to...

I'll take a gazillion pictures and bore everyone to tears...

I am hopeful that I may be able to get a few signatures... but since I've never even dreamed I would get to ride in a team car I honestly have no idea WHAT access I'll have... but man, this is a one time opportunity for sure!

OK... taking a deep breath to try to settle down... I barely slept last night...

I went and bought a Velonews in case I can get a signature or two... I have been told it's highly unlikely since the guys stay in their buses until minutes before they start... then they jump on their bikes and go...

I'm so excited for you that the team car ride is happening!!! Can't wait to see the pics.

I'm helping coordinate volunteers in the expo area during the morning; dont' know if I'll get down on the course. I am so stoked! I'll have my camera, too, but don't expect to get anything nearly as cool as you.

I'm so jealous! I found out last night that one of my dad's co-workers got to ride in a support car on Stage1. He was scared out of his wits and had to close his eyes!
