    I still intend on joining you - but it is going to take me awhile...have to actually establish one in my area.

    It might be easier to simply choose a 100k route that I will ride once a month and give myself a virtual medal at the end of the 12th - something really decadent like hot dark chocolate over real ice cream - I just couldn't tell my doctor nor check my blood sugar that day

    Oh I do, though not very often. I really have to justify THAT combination though - it is my most favorite decadent delight and if I wasn't very strict with it I wouldn't get anywhere Just because I've managed to ride myself into reversing the diabetes (2) doesn't mean that it cant come back

    This sounds seriously fun, and a great way to stay riding year round. Now about the weather....

    Nice job, Mimi! You rode very close to my house, but not quite by it (I live a little south of the Gaston check in).

    A tailwind on the return trip was good luck indeed - usually it blows the opposite direction this time of year if the weather is clear!
