That is a good idea, could any gleam where she worked? This is really odd, disappear from the boards is one thing but leaving one of her beloved bikes makes me worried, especially now that we know you have been calling.

I was actually thinking of the day I dropped my mountain bike off with the broken seat post, it was late on a busy Sunday and I just told the wrench I always talk to my full name, no other information and give me a call when the black one arrived and she was good to go. When I picked it up we laughed that he didn't ask for a number, I didn't supply it, thankfully I am in their system but what if I wasn't? Would my bike just sit there until I called wondering if my bike was done? I don't have a landline, I am not in any local clubs with a phone directory.

I hope she pops up and has been on some crazy adventure, safe and sound.

I don't always participate with replies to the forums here, I do however read them all and kinda keep to myself. That's just me.
I do however, miss Pardes stories and her humor. Maybe she's secretely writing a novel and is so involved in that, that we are on hold....
the bike thing would bother me...I hate having my bike gone for more than 3 days, can't imagine being without them..hope things are ok for her...

Me too, but the unfortunate reality is that the downside of this new technology based mode of socializing, when one is incapacitated, their cyber friends rarely know or can help... I'll tell you, Pardes is a gem!

Cool, Mimi! Now we can all relax.

Tell Pardes to go pick up her bike.

And now we have all had our midweek mystery solved. Nothing shocking, earth shattering or horrific. Just a busy person.

Maybe that's her summer bike at the bike shop, and she's riding her winter bike... leaving it at the bike shop means she doesn't have to worry about storage.

Mimi, thank you for calling her. I've been up to my @ss in alligators lately, trying to clear my desk before I'm out of the office all next week.

Thank you all for your concern. I'm sure that you're as relieved as I am that everything's ok.
