    Interesting, kind offer

Just got my haircut, blow dry today. have gone to same hairstylist for last 6 yrs. But her rates are gettin' high even though she is quite skilled and understands my hairstyle preferences. She does occasional stuff for charity with her skills ie. shave 20 cops bald for a cancer fundraiser.

Amazingly she offered to give me free of charge, a wash and blow dry on my birthday which is coming up next month...only because we were talking about aging and health. I mentioned I was going to hit the big 5-0 and take a vacation day off from work.

A nice gesture by her ..if I'm around in town that day to take up the offer. Not sure what I would like to do or whatever that day.

It's hard to find a good hairstylist.
I've been sporting this chop job for two years now...

If I were you this would be one extravagance I'd budget for.

What a nice offer! I've been going to the same woman for 15 years and don't think I've ever gotten a freebie.

Take her up on it. The place where I go for my hair is expensive, but nothing like the prices in the city. But, it would be the last thing I cut out of my budget if I had to cut stuff. It's a really nice offer and unusual, too.

I'd do it. I think your hairdresser is trying to thank you for being a loyal customer for these years, and is trying to do make the upcoming birthday special... I'll be having the same one in about 6 months.

The first stylist I went to would do this, it's pretty cool. My current stylist donated the cost of a haircut to my TNT fundraising this year

It would be nice ..we'll see. Hairstylist has an interesting life story...originally from Iran, from some sort of upper middle-class family. She recently shaved heads of 20 police officers here in town for a cancer charity fundraiser.

Take her up on the offer. If she made it, she may have wanted to thank you for the years of loyalty. It's just as important to let people show appreciation as it is to receive appreciation.
