I have to say that normally, I prefer to know certain people well before they crash in for a sleep at our home.
But that's just me. And we live in crowded quarters.
I just found out from dearie, that we might have 1 of his business pals crash here for overnight if he misses his ferry ride homeward.
Well, at least the guy is another cycling enthusiast. So more cycling chat.
This is terrible of me..but I just don't feel overly obligated to clean home from top to bottom on such short notice tomorrow. I was planning to go bike riding for a few hrs. (after not cycling for last few days) and do much needed grocery shopping plus work that I dragged home from workplace.

It's a little secret you didn't know about us women. We're all closet Visigoths.

The house is what it is. If he wants different accomodations, I'm certain there are plenty of hotels in the area.
Enjoy your bike ride. And if Dearie wants a cleaner house, let them clean it.

If I were told by my dh that some business friend of his was dropping by to spend the night on short notice, I'd probably stick to removing my smelly bike stuff hanging to dry in the bathroom - and leaving hisAnd then I'd take it as an invitation to go off and do something fun all evening on my own.
Good luck, ss!
