Really???? Honestly, I haven't been sick since I quit smoking. Maybe it is something that should be looked into further.

I am sorry you are sick. Take care and hope you feel better soon.

    Get well soon.

May I add my own wah? The weather here is so foul (11degC and pissing rain in February - it should be 25+ and sunny out there at this time of year!) that I can't do any of the things I had hoped to today, so I am about to go to work for a few hours while it is peaceful there just so I don't die of boredom on my couch.

Did somebody call for the waaaahmbulance?

Hey, I seem to recall that the last time this happened you went on a wool shopping spree. Proof that wool has miraculous, curative powers!

I have heard, btw, that ex-smokers start getting sick more often as the cilia in the lungs start to recover and bounce back. Also, consider getting yourself checked out for anemia and thyroid functions - these can both cause you to have a poor immune system.

Almost any doctor will check your TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) levels and based on that, determine whether your thyroid is OK or Not OK. There are a number of other tests (Free T3, and others) that show a much clearer picture.

Hey! you're near me! I've been seeing this guy with good results for the last 8 months.

    Elk,
Callie wandered by to see if you need a soft kitty to help you snooze? She'll play with you to cheer you up, and then Nap time!

Hope you're feeling better. Heard on the news that this year's gamble at the flu shot combo wasn't as good as a guess as they thought. Right. I already had the plague this year. I can also vouch for the Irish Cure. But be careful with the wee nip of whiskey, you don't want to wake with a hangover. Trust me on this.

Find a spot in the wambulance for me....

Yesterday as I was speaking with a customer my stomach went south....
I got progressively sicker as the evening progressed, and spent a lot of time in the loo lastnight... UGH
My stomach is in that touchy area right now, where you are afraid to eat ANYTHING...
And I have an 80/10 ride/run brick tomorrow.. OY!

So while it's not the "flu", it's some nasty tummy thing.

    Been there

Oooh... I hope you are better VERY soon Running Mom... I had that for about 10 days straight. Just what you said -- didn't want to eat anything. Couldn't really go anywhere! Lots of hours on the trainer -- sat it up just a few steps from the loo! Good luck with whatever yours is and stay hydrated. Lots of yogurt was my solution. Still many things I won't touch yet!

On the other hand -- I did lose weight just a bit faster than normal for me...

hope we're ALL feeling better soon....

    (((((((sick TE'ers))))))))))

Dianyla, I see a naturopath in NW at the An Hao clinic. She does all the checks. She gives me Chinese herbs that help A LOT...in fact the OTC drugs can;t touch these for effectiveness without side effects. And for immune enhancement.

The Irish cure, eh...hmmm I'm on the Jewish cure..only my mom is too far away to bring her special brew...wah 2.

I think I must've gotten it in the plane on the way home from Boston. I was JUST getting over a cold and sat near a woman who went down as we sat there...by the time we landed she was a sick puppy.

So I'm lying in bed reading about *sweetpea* bikes and dreaming....

Oh yes, An Hao is a great clinic for Chinese medicine. I used to go to a regular allopathic (MD) doc in addition to getting naturopathic (ND) care over at A Woman's Time (21st/Lovejoy) but since finding Dr. Miller I've been able to integrate both philosophies into one care provider. One less appointment...
