    Need TE Karma

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I am going for a new job tomorrow and need all the good TE karma I can get.
This new position will be less patient care, but more administration work. I feel after 20+ years in the clinical arena it is time to step into something that will give no call, and weekends/holidays free. This new job might cut into my riding time a little bit, but it will pay more so I can buy new toys. The person interviewing me is old friend, so that should help...but good karma don't hurt none either!

Definitely rooting for you! I have a nurse friend who is now in administrative and she's so relieved to be out of clinical work - set hours and more regular home life. Now if I could just get her to start riding with me.....

"Normal life"?? What's that??? I may throw my whole family into a spin here because they have never had me on a set schedule. Imagine, I may be able to sit at the table with them more than once a month. I may also be home for all
of Christmas, and Thanksgiving Yeah!!! I want to have seasonal dysfuntional family reunions!!!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Good luck Karen, and you'll like a schedule better. We use to call my mom "the Grinch" (affectionately) because she always had to work Christmas and holidays in the ER. Then she went to a company and ran health services and environmental and we got to see her more.
    Again, good luck

I think the interview went very well...(fingers crossed, blessing myself) It will be far removed from bedside care, but that may be a good thing...I am starting to feel my 20 years in the business and want a chance to do some
research/investigative stuff. I am coming to the cross road, my kids are getting ready to leave and I would like to spend some time with them before
    they go...
