Hey lady, this isn't a motivational thread. It's a thread for us to TAKE PRIDE in our laziness!

    Sorry!

I went for a short one-hour spin, saw three specks of sand on the road and decided the terrain was too treacherous to navigate.
Now I'm back to being a bum with my third steaming cup of java and Little House on the Prairie on TV. (Nellie wasn't really bad, you know, she was just misunderstood)

I am embracing my laziness and enhoying it for the next few days. Then I will be back to working out. For now, I am just enjoying the break and time with family.

    I'm out

I guess I've been kicked off of this thread. Rode yesterday and today I'm going to do a dry land, low resistance strength training session with DH and my goal is to make him cry and ask for mercy. And I'm lovin' it.

See you girls on another thread.

Actually, I'm pretty proud that I did not workout for 3 days in a row and did not get in the least bit anxious about it. But that was then...

ummm... I'm joining you Wahine... did my first metric century yesterday... guess that means I'm no longer spinning short distances to stop my legs from hurting - def no longer a semi-bum...

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

I'm still a bum. BF isn't and now he's paying the price. lol

I've got a sunburnt, stiff and sore man in the house.

Thats what he gets for going out running at 9am on a BRIGHT and sunny day and not finishing until 11am and not wearing sunscreen or stretching!!!!

    he he he. Oh well

Only two more days of LAZYNESS until I kick my arse into gear... ^_^

Well, I guess I'm sort of being a bum. While I have done a few things, running and snowboarding, I feel like they aren't really often enough or long enough or I could be doing bricks or... Also, I've given in to the holiday food thing, to an extent. Just a few treats, here and there. Something I wouldn't normally do, but 'tis the season.

I figure the time comes when we just have to give ourselves a break. Mentally reset. Don't freak out about everything. A week of eating a couple of cookies and not busting my hump training for a marathon/triathlon/century/whatever isn't going to undo all of my hard work this year.

    Bums of the world, unite.

    Mostly a bum here...

Spent several days with my family at the beach over Christmas. Long beach walks were the only "athletic" thing DH and I did. I didn't even bother running. Since getting home Wed., we've ridden the trainer once (45 mins) and taken a couple of walks. That's IT. We're in the process of prepping to tile our porch floor, so that (and runs to Home Depot or Lowe's for more supplies) is taking up all our time, thus the bumminess. If we have time while the thinset is curing, we might get out for a hike on Sunday. I'll get back to a regular fitness routine after going back to work (Jan. 2). It's fun to be a bum sometimes!
