Details to come.......
Start thinking about training with the Valley Spokesmen and Team LUNA Chix.
Training rides will start mid-January. The big event is on March 31st.
We will host rides every other week and provide a communication link and route sheets for groups to meet on the alternate weeks.
Our first training ride will probably be a flat 20 mile ride from Walnut Creek to Danville and back with a stop mid-way at Peet's!
Later in the series, we'll include the 50 mile "Jelly Belly" Ride (some of you may have attended this fun training ride last year).
We'll work our way up to 65 miles over 10 weeks (Jan 13 - March 17) with a week off to rest.
Be sure you get on the registration list for the Cinderella Metric Century.

Ok gals, i'm getting a little nervous about this ride...
On the Valley Spokesman website, they describe the ride as "It is mostly flat with a few moderate hills."
But then I see training rides where they're talking about all this hill climbing.
What does the route for the ride look like? How much climbing is there and what's the grade and duration of said hills?
In all likelyhood, the training rides have tougher hills than the cindy itself. It is as described - no real killer hills. The infamous Lemon Drop hill is one of those long lazy climbs, not short and steep.
I don't know if anyone actually has the elevation profiles - jobob?
I seem to remember V having some sort of data on the ride...
