Nice and cool, fifty-seven degrees. Finally got Nice-Calves-Commuter-Guy to say hi to me this morning! Still trying to figure out what kind of bike he's on. I think he needs to bump up his saddle a bit though, as his knees stick out!

I had a guy coming hte other way on campus say hi as if he knew me, too - I'm wondering if he's the guy that came behind and around me a few months ago, but I didn't have time to check his bike.
Supporting my theory of "finite contact time means comfort level with contact," I had an almost enthusiastic good morning exchange with a guy probably waiting for a bus on Green STreet. (If we were both waiting for the bus we'd have muttered and wanted to keep our own space- at least I would have!)
I had my cooler and blender set up in assortedbags - but still made it in basically the same time frame because of the SOuth wind, which makes a solid minute's difference on the penultimate stretch. There are very strong storms blowing down from the North... and strong winds from the south... sometimes I think it's a good idea to have a helmet with me having nothing to do with cycling!
