    Halfway there!

I'm so psyched, I had to share ...!

The rain cleared away early this afternoon, so Lee and I set off for a ride. The weather was perfect, not too cold, not too windy (er, until the end !) so we did the entire loop of the trail that runs along Alameda Creek near our home. It's not hilly, but the wind kicked up near the end so we rode into a headwind for the last 7 miles or so, so I got a bit of a workout. Yay for drop handlebars.

But the cool part is, it was all told a bit over 32 miles, and we did it in about 2hrs and 25 minutes (which includes a couple of rest stops of about 5 min each). Not fast, but acceptable, at this point anyhow.

That means I'm halfway there to my (first) goal of a metric century. Sweeeeet.

And I feel great! Those morning rides are paying off. I can do this.

Thanks for listening, I know you gals would understand.

    Way to go Jobob!

Are you planning on any particular metric? I can suggest the Cinderella Classic. http://www.valleyspokesmen.org/cinder.html It's a fun ride, not too difficult either.

Excellent! Sounds like the Cinderella is going to have a great turnout of members on this list from N. California.

Though from your other post re your preparation for the AIDS ride, come end of March methinks I'll see you at the start and that's about it
