Would like to, but my oldest gets back from camp that day. Gotta be there to pick up the teen and get the 411 on what happened during her week away.

A couple of my friends from Napa are signed up for the metric. Anyone know what the century ride is like? 7,000 + feet of climbing! I'm debating given the distance from my place and the start time.

Would love to hear from those of you who have done it- metric or otherwise!

    Thumbs down

I'd have to say it was one of the worst organized rides I've done -- ran out of food and water at rest stops and at the end of the ride, ran out of t-shirts (in all sizes except XS and 3XL), no visible SAG, poor route markings, no porta-potties -- you name it. And rumor is that they don't get any permits or insurance.

The riding was good. I recall climbing a lot -- OLH, Tunitas Creek, Page Mill. It was hard, but it sure didn't feel like 7,000' hard.

but nothing's as bad as the Tour de Peninsula freinds don't let friends ride that.

Also I think I did this a long time ago and was not the metric, whatever they had below that.
