Small update for those who want to know if SynoviscOne can work, or not!
Well it's been just over 4 weeks since 1st injection in left knee and over 2 weeks for the right one.
So far so good. It is not perfect and will probably never be as wear and tear is heavy on those knees. But I am able to do more than before. Pain is still there but not as much.
I can do squats a bit lower but my PT prefers I do them differently. She does not want to overuse/abuse the knees, just because we can! There are so many other ways to work your legs beside squats. And trust me, what she has on the menu for me is killing my thighs, my hamstrings, etc... She certainly knows how to make a workout efficient! hihi
I've also started training on cycling standing up. Never did it before (not even as a kid - it never crossed my mind to get up on my bike), but now I want to. haha So we've been practicing for a week on the trainer. 30 seconds at 1st - to test the knees. I did the Sufferfest video (Elements of style) 2 nights ago and boy it is rough. But the good thing is I feel "some" pain while doing it but once I am relaxing (after work out) I have no swelling and no major pain. No need to take some Aleve or icing the knees. So that is just awesome to me.
My PhysioT said to repeat weekly but not push myself to the point of having any pain. If my knees are tired or telling me enough, I have to cut part of the session and sit but still cycle...no resistance.
It is not that nice out here yet to cycle outside (except when we're at work! Deuh!) but I have the ok to start doing real smallish hills (sitting down - no standing yet outside) in about 2 weekends. She wants me to test the knees and still work on my technic before pushing those knees.
I'm very happy for now with the outcome of those injections. Hoping they will last at least six months (that would mean it is working as it should). If shorter than this period, I don't think it will be useful to repeat.
