    Ouch!

I was doing plyometric push ups this morning (start in push up position with two steps on either side of you, push off the floor and hands land on the steps, then push off the steps and land back on the floor). On number 14 of my third set of 15, I landed wrong and broke a blood vessel in my hand. It immediately turned purple and swelled up hugely. I did #15 and then showed my trainer my hand.

And then kept working out... I used a bit of padding on all my weights. It still hurt, but kept my mind off how much the weight work hurt!

    Wow! You are superwoman!!!!!

DH bumped his shin and broke a blood vessel last night too. It swelled to the size of a golf ball. It was nasty looking, I about lost my dinner.

. . . and now I am off to see if I can do even 1 of these plyometric pushups. (probably can't, but I'm going to try).

So how did you do? I think they are actually kind of fun. I kinda like anything that's a power move.

I could do them if I had my knees down. But not even close the other way You are one strong lady! I'm going to keep working on it, maybe by this time next year I'll be able to do a set.

can't do those but have mastered the elbow elbow hand hand version of the pushups, along with walking up and off a step- hand up hand up push up, hand down, hand down push up. Can't say I'm crazy about them, but I will do them.

Take good care, burst blood vessels can be no fun!
