WANTED: Used pair of Sidi Genius 4 or 5, size 38 or 39

I would like to find a lightly-used pair of Sidi Genius 4 or 5 women's cycling shoes in a size 38 or 39. I am currently using a pair of Specialized Road Comp Women's shoes (size 37) and they are not working for me at all. I would be willing to trade (+ a few bucks) or buy the Sidis from anyone who would like to get rid of theirs. I am keeping my eye on Ebay, but I thought I would try here, too. Thanks!

    used Sidis

Are you sure you have the size conversion right? I wear a 6.5 US size, and usually 37 Euro... I replaced my worn Sidis last year (36 or 37)--though I think I tossed them, and now wear 38s in Sidi. But I found great deals by checking the clearance section at bike shops--esp. such small sizes, they're often less than 1/2 price!

Just a second comment on the size. I wear a size 5.5 or 6 US size, and I also wear a size 38 Sidi. These shoes run small...

(Just for comparison purposes, I checked the Merrell's I am wearing today. They are a US size 6 and a European size 36.)

    as the shoe fits...

And men wonder why we shop so often? Even among brands I like--they change sizing one year to the next, or even between styles the fit is different. And shoes are easy compared to what's between neck and ankle!

But on the Sidi--true they are smaller. I wouldn't want to wear the 38 walking around much, but comfortable for riding (road). But add in how thick are your socks, and how your toes are shaped, etc. will affect what fit you like.

But I still say for us gals with smaller feet, we can often benefit by scouring in the clearance racks!

I'm always envious of people with small feet when the sales roll around. I think 90% of the populartion must be an 8 or an 8.5 - there's never anything nice left in my size. Suppose it could be worse though. Can't imagine there's much to choose from in the first place if you're a 10 or a 10.5...

Sierra Trading Post has the Sidi Lightnings in 37, 38 and 39. I know they're not the Genius, but they are $70...http://tinyurl.com/cf7cv

I "settled" for these as interum shoes until I could get my hands on a pair of those red Sidi Doms, and have been very happy with them. They have the Millenium II sole. I won't upgrade road shoes until I kill them. My feet were instantly cooler, more comfortable, able to stretch out, and immensely lighter. (I wear a 39 in Sidi, 38 in Shimano, 6 or 6.5 US street shoes, 7 or 7.5 US running shoes, 37 Birkenstocks, and 4 or 5 British-sized Docs.)

Or, http://www.xxcycle.com has the Genius 5, new, for $160, but they are located in France. They ship to the US, though. Very tempting price, but you'd have to positively know your size, since returns would be a costly pain.
