    OMG OMG... That's my bike!

From the "bikes we have lost" thread - guess what?

While going through sitemash today I found my bike - the Fuji Monterey hybrid I loved so much (that my Dad threw away) is here: http://madison.craigslist.org/bik/1212399374.html

They added fenders (a plus, I had more stains running up the back of my shirts in college) and did something funky with an extension on the handlebars, but THAT'S MY BIKE!!!!!

I have emailed the seller - oh please please I hope I can get it and am not too late - my hands are shaking I'm so excited! Cross your fingers for me!

She still has it! *does cartwheels* (figuratively speaking of course, my back has not recovered for that yet).

Now - how do you ship a bike? What's the best method/carrier? She's in Madison, I'm near Chattanooga. Should a bike shop send it, and should it be sent to my LBS?

The timing for finding this could not be better. I badly injured my low back more than three weeks ago - I can still only walk around for 30 to 40 minutes at a time. There is no way I will be able to ride leaning low on my road bike for a very long time - it may be this winter before that is possible again. A more upright bike is excellent while I recover - even the extension on the front handlebar is almost like it was set aside for me! I wonder if I may be able to ride that in 2 months, and seeing that bike every day will keep me thinking more positively! *so excited*

I'd get an LBS to pack it and receive it...

Is that Madison, GA or Madison, WI? If GA, that's probably only about a 3 hour drive from Chattanooga. If GA, and you can't get there soon, and there's not a really close LBS, PM me and I might be able to help you out.

Thanks! It's Wisconsin, unfortunately (or fortunately, it looks like the bike has been kept very sheltered).
