It's a pretty great feeling, isn't it? Knowing that you did it!
Awesome job! Now the only question is: When are you going to do your first century?!

Congrats from neck of the woods also!!! I rode a ride called the Bloomin Metric and although more hills than I anticipated I rode 62.15 miles. I will probably ride more rides (but flatter) before my first century in October.

What a sense of accomplishment, isn't it? Good Job!!!

Doesn't that feel wonderful?! My first 50 was years ago on a mountain bike. My husband rode with me and was so thoroughly disgusted he never rode again until last summer. Now we road cycle on proper road bikes and our 50 last summer was a much, much better experience.

Congrats Margaret! wooohooo - isn't it amazing how "short" it seems once you actually do it? I just did another 1/2 century last Sun just coz I could! LOL....I'm still trying to find the time to try my first century - but it's looking like Memorial Day might just be the ticket for me!

    Job Well Done hun!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

    Congrats Margaret

I haven't done a metric half, let alone an imperial half...
I am training mostly for 20/25km TTs
But hope to do my first metric half in the next month, and am slowly building up to doing a century (Round Lake Taupo, 160kms)

Ancestors of both mine and my partners would have known the Kinross area well
Hope to get there one day

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".
