Terminology question -- I call it underwear

I want something to wear under regular pants. I've seen liners and briefs. Other than the obvious differences that I can see in the picture, any advice on what I should be looking for? I normally ride 12-12 miles with the occasional 25 mile weekend trip.

I did a 12 mile ride in blue jeans this weekend. Yikes! Never again.

Do you mean padded cycling underpants?
It's a little secret you didn't know about us women. We're all closet Visigoths.

I'm wondering about something like this (from LL Bean)

The second one has two very bad reviews.

Try Andiamo padded skins. I have a couple of pair and I like them.

TE sells a number of options. They are also called liner shorts.
