Saturday was the first mentor led walk -- we set out on Los Alamitos Trail, at our own pace. This was only an hour walk, so you went as far as you could in 30 minutes, then turned around. I made the mistake of trying to walk with our Training Captain, Ahmed. Oops, he's a fast one. I almost ended up stopped on the side of the trail wheezing. whaddadork. This is another trail I've ridden my bike on, it wasn't nearly as crowded as the Los Gatos Creek Trail. Lots of pretty sights, and I saw a small bunny on the trip back.
Next was the Honoree Breakfast. One thing I have noticed about TNT, they focus on life. Hearing their stories makes me realize my little neck issues pale in comparison. I love the positive outlook everyone has, and the focus on life.
Oh! Another "damn I'm a wimp" moment. One of my team mates had a medic alert bracelet. Jim asks what it was for, she replies "Oh, I was a transplant recipient". Interesting. Kidney? Cornea? Liver? Oh no, nothing so mundane. Double Lung transplant. Yeah. Me and my bobble head can do this.......have some advil and shut up snap......
