    Thursday March 13 Rides

    I didn't see a thread.....

Went for a 16 mile ride after work. For some reason lately I have been a little burnt out on everything. We have only gone on a few rides in the last month. It felt good to be out, temperature was mid 70's, wind was a little strong but we had a great tailwind home. Best part is DH cleaned my bike yesterday and she was riding like a dream.

6 blocks, to the pet store to pick up dog treats and back. But it's a beautiful day and even that was fine.

Only three of us showed up for our twice weekly after work ride - even the ride leader wimped-out! Claiming it is his 27th anniversary.....the nerve!

25 miles, Sunny, 15 mph wind out of the south, 66 degrees. Beautiful!

KathiCville had planned to join us but was sent in the wrong direction by some well-meaning-directionally-challenged local and she missed the start of the ride. She made the most of it, but I will let her post her own ride.

First road bike outing of the year! Pulled it off the trainer and took a quick spin around the neighborhood. It was 49 here today...Yahoo!

6.5 whopping miles. But they were happy ones!

19.5 miles after returning home from work, the car dealership and the vet's office. It was a beautiful day here - no tights, no wool socks, no toe covers, no helmet liner, no winter jersey, no warm jacket. Instead I rode in my shorts, a SS jersey and a light jacket. It was wonderful! Legs are very tired and when I returned home I pulled out my journal - I've not taken a day off the bike since Feb. 24 - no wonder my legs did not have a lot of pep to them. I think I'll rest tomorrow and Saturday.

DH and I finally got out for a ride and his first chance to try out his new Speedplay Frogs - first time ever clipless. He did flawlessly! I'm still recovering from the stomach whatever that nailed me Monday, so it was perfect to get out for an easy 10 miles. Fun

Today was a perfect day. My hubby and I went for a 38 mile ride with a pretty good head wind in both directions. Well, we had a tailwind for like, 7 miles! I felt very strong even after doing 58 on Tues. We stopped for tacos along the way (which was when the wind shifted) and I dropped the hammer at the last hill and put a hurt on him. Made me feel good to be the first one back for once! After cleaning up he made sure to make this day perfect for me and we got a scoop of B'n'R to cap it all off. Too bad today has to end.
