I feel your pain! It was 70 today here in central NC and of course I was stuck at the office. Wahhhhhhh! I did get out at noon and take a nice walk, but I sure would have liked to take a nice long bike ride. Sigh....

    Drip, drip, drip

At least that's what it's been doing on the weekends here. The past 3, 4, I forget how many weeks it's been now, have had OK days in the middle, but ALL the weekends have been rainy. All day. Both days.

Well, until this week. Sunday was awesome...and it was my turn to be with kiddo while hubby rode. Monday awesome, me chained to desk, then to previous after work commitment. Finally got in 51 minutes of riding today after work... in glorious 80 degree sunshine !!!

Long weekend ride? Ain't gonna happen. More rain in the forecast. Sigh.

oh I feel your pain... here in the land of endless sun, we've had RAIN... lots and lots of rain... enough to end a 7 yr drought and cause homes to slide off hills and hills to slide ONTO homes...

and it's beautiful M-Thurs while I'm at work then dumps buckets every fri/sat/sun I haven't ridden since my century 2/5... and it's lovely out today but the forecast is for RAIN ALL WEEKEND!!!! grrrrrrr......

I have the whole week off. It rained Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday afternoon, my dad was released from the hospital but too weak to stay alone. I brought him home to stay with me for a few days. The rest of the week is supposed to be cold and snowy/icey. Yeah, I'm loving February. I guess the bright side is that I was home and able to care for dad.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I was going to start a topic about rainy weekends and beautiful weekdays - but figured people with snow would be put off.

And I have vacation time to use or lose - but can't get away from the job. And I'm a University employee! What's wrong here?

(and we did NOT get president's day off - I think we traded it for Martin Luther King day so that Arizona could get the Superbowl - or some such dumb reason...)

Ready for cheese with my whine :)

OK so yesterday I aborted ride to find the stupid cell phone (belongs to work) and came in early, not much of a workout, and it was windy and spitting rain.

Today? Monday? 75 and sunny. I kid you not. And my husband has the flu so I'm about to take him to the dr, poor guy. February stinks.

I tested out a new bike on Sat. On Sunday it snowed ALL day. In fact, I got a snowday off today. Eight more inches on the ground. I'm starting an aerobics class tonight. Hope that cheers things up...some how I don't think it will

here's wishing everyone WARM DRY DAYS SOON.

I FINALLY smartened up I stuck my mtn bike in my van, just in case it actually is 58 when I get off work today, I will change here are work and drive to the local running/biking park and do a few laps - I only need to ride about 30-40 min today ( I did 65 in the trainer this a.m.). My only problem is my son rode that bike last and the seat is down too far for me I HOPE that I left that wrench in the van so I can fix it!

    woooohooooo

Its 63, I have my bike and they told me to leave early since I didn't take lunch today or yesterday hehehehehe. I don't usually get off until 5:30, she said leave at 4:00, don't have to tell me twice.
