    A Surprise at Work!

They actually installed a bike rack! Too bad it's too cold for me to commute... I guess this means there's no chance of them letting me bring my bike into the office.

Bah! Too cold? Not if you wear the right clothes!

Make sure you get a good lock, maybe a big heavy one that you can leave locked to the rack so you don't have to haul it back and forth. Did you ask for a rack, or did someone else?

I was one of several that was suggesting/asking/pushing for a bike rack. I never expected them to put it so near the entrance and I didn't expect that they'd do it over the winter.

I've got a good cable lock but will add a u-lock, too.

I probably do have the right clothes but I don't have proper lights. I'll have to wait a few more weeks (at least) for later daylight.

Fantastic. It's a really sturdy one too.
How long before there are so many cyclists that they have to install a second one?

That would actually be great, but I'll believe it when I see it. Right now I know of about three of us who sometimes bike commute. Perhaps this will bring more out of the woodwork.
