Shouldn't be watching this while my partner is looking over my shoulder... I am glad to see that no one got seriously hurt.
There is a velo near my house, like 5 miles from my house. They have ladies night. I never did track but recently, two people suggested that I drop by. Bring my shoes, my own pedals and I can rent a bike. Plus I need to get a license, just paper work. And I'm ready to go.
Well looking at the crashes, maybe not. I need something bit tamer with less bumper car action.
And there is a track bike frame on e-bay.

I think just as amazing is the idea of Aussie television news coving it with over a minute and a half of airtime, plus interviews with pro racers.
U.S. television producers probably never even heard of a velodrome, much less want to send a camera into one.
