    Awesome good news to report!

This is Pam reporting back with with news about my recovery... well I think
the journey is coming to an end.

I saw the surgeon yesterday and he said my recovery has been going better than expected and he's released me to return to all my activities including cycling. Whoo-hoo!

And even better news... I saw the oncologist today and we discussed my case and he does not feel chemo will improve my changes so NO CHEMO! Double Whoo-hoo!!!! I pretty much dreaded the chemo the most.

I still have to follow-up with the oncologist 2 - 3 times a year for awhile and most liekly have colonoscopies for the next 3 years, but I'm not going to sweat the minor stuff.

Anyway thanks so much to everyone for being so kind and listening to me go on about the cancer. A special thanks goes out to Trekhawk and Ninaonbike.

Now to start exercising on a regular basis, lose some weight (my goal 25 lbs) and stay healthy through the next year!!!

GREAT NEWS!! I am so happy you do not have to have chemo. Even with the advances it isn't fun.

Have fun getting back out there!!

Wow Pam - that is wonderful!! Hey, for someone who can go to Costco right after coming home from the hospital, biking should be a breeze - but, don't overdue it the first day. Maybe wait 'till the second day!!

Don't tell the doctor but I already went out on both my road and mountain bike - but I took it easy. Nothing hard, short rides. Since it's fall I want to get into mountain biking as soon as possible. It's a great time to be out on the trails since most are in good shape before the rains come. But I also plan on doing some road riding so I can do the Palm Springs ride with Nina in February.
