Well, she's still just a frame at this point (need to sell several other bikes before I'll let myself build her up -- anyone need a bike?).
She's a custom Sycip Deisel singlespeed. We color-matched Velo Girls pink and added a sparkly overcoat (can't see it in the pics). I'm planning to build her up with a white fork, White Industries silver cranks, pink Chris King hubs and headset, silver rims & spokes, Avid Juicy Carbon disc brakes, and black seat-post, stem and bar (probably Thompson & Easton). I'll add some anodized blue bits to match the logos (crank bolts, QRs, etc).

She'll be gorgeous. I would die on a singlespeed. I hear they make you into an AWESOME hill climber.

Velogirl, did you post a pic of your frame? All I see is a little red X.
Editing: I can see it on the home computer. My, that is pank! (must be said with a southern accent)

Oooooo...I LOVE Sycip frames. It's beautiful. PLEASE post pics when it's built up!!
Do you have your fork already picked out? The Fox F-Series would look mighty nice!
It's between the Fox F or the RocksShox Reba World Cup (which is just soooo pretty with the carbon & all). Decisions, decisions.Originally Posted by SalsaMTB
BTW, I can't see the photo from my pc at the bike shop -- bizarre. You can find it here -- http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/4...1600/sycip.png

My boy (12) has a Trek 4300 mtb and the old Buick, but he also has a small single speed trick bike which has coaster brakes and hand brakes. He took the hand brakes off for some reason.
On occasion, when we're riding for an errand or to go to a festival or the pool or something, he'll ride that trick bike. It just amazes me how he can climb Talequah hill on that thing (it's about a 14% grade near as I can figure).
Kids...putting me to shame...

I actually have the Fox fork on order right now. I've always had rock shox forks, and have had excellent performance from them, but decided to try something different. The reba has received excellent reviews though.
Just as an FYI for other people:Originally Posted by velogirl
I have found that if I can't see a picture but can see a red x box instead, sometimes if you right click on it, select properties and copy paste the location into your address, hit go, then hit back, the picture will magically appear. It's strange, but works! It worked for me for the frame pic!
