Hoping the ladies of the bay area can give me a hand
I ride pretty much exclusively by myself. I did do a century with TNT three years ago so I do have experience with group rides.
However, I've realized that while there is certainly a place for solo rides, I'm starting to get a bit lonely. Plus, tough rides are always a little easier with a buddy suffering next to you.![]()
Does anyone have suggestions for a club on the peninsula? I'm not a super fast rider or awesome climber so I'm not looking for crazy difficult rides- at least not yet.
Thanks!

I looked and can't believe we have not had a run down of bike clubs in northern CA. We're lucky to have many choices. Lots of East Bay and South Bay clubs have rides scheduled near you too.
TE CA gals, post your favorites (or not so favorite) here.![]()

I belong to SF randonneurs - they do brevets of all distances.
I don't typically ride with bike clubs because it's logistically easier for me to just ride on my own or with friends; however, I'm shortly joining SRCC. I ride so much in Sonoma county, and they put on great rides.
I have many friends who ride with Grizzly Peak Cyclists and say great things about them and their rides.

Not sure where you are but when I first started I really liked riding with actc.org. i think they're one of the largest clubs in the area. lot of rides for all levels of riders practically every day of the week.
you can find social rides, endurance rides, mtb rides and probably hammerfests (but these seem fewer. i don't know since i didn't seek those out). they are out of the south bay.
if you're in the east bay, i've had friends in the valley spokesman who said really good things about them. plus.. they put on the cinderella, which is awesome that they support this ride very year.

ACTC is another great option on the peninsula

update: noticed that someone already suggested this one! D'oh!
To add the the list idea:
I live in SF and I've done rides with Grizzley Peak Cyclists-- they are focused in the east bay, so lots of rides in the East Bay and Marin. Like WW and ACTC, rides are rated and there's a good variety of rides and riders. Good option if you are looking to occasionally do a group ride in the east bay /marin for variety.
